\u200b\u200bCongratulations to Sharon, Indranil and all the contributors to the Agathokakological Aussie Summer<\/em> Story Mosaic<\/em>.\u00a0 This compelling anthology traverses Australian summers in ways that will surprise and delight readers.<\/p>\n I am pleased to see\u200b\u200b\u200b that the stories reflect\u200b \u200bthe\u00a0diversity of Indian and Australian experiences, and offer\u00a0\u200b\u200ba window into our multicultural communities.<\/p>\n I am sure these personal perspectives will resonate with many readers. \u00a0I found myself reflecting on my own summer memories spent across Australia, and longing for future summer adventures spent here in India.<\/p>\n \u200b\u200bIndia and Australia are natural partners and friends. \u00a0\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bOur relationship is built on what I call the \u20184 Ds\u2019: democracy, defence, diaspora and dosti <\/em>(friendship).<\/p>\n This anthology captures diaspora and dosti<\/em> with vibrancy and enthusiasm.<\/p>\n Deepening diaspora and dosti<\/em> are the bedrock of the Australia-India relationship.\u200b \u200b I firmly believe that the more we share our stories, the greater the understanding and friendships we can build.<\/p>\n \u200b\u200bIn recognising this, literature has formed an integral part of the Australian Government\u2019s public diplomacy in India.\u00a0 We continue to highlight Australia\u2019s diverse voices and, in conjunction with the Australia Council for the Arts, build ties\u00a0between Australian and Indian publishers and authors.<\/p>\n I commend this anthology as a valuable contribution to furthering\u00a0Australia-India literary links.<\/p>\n
